Social Welfare Minister Raaj Kumar Anand takes stock of physiotherapy facility and other arrangements made for residents of old age homes

Social Welfare Minister Raaj Kumar Anand on Saturday made a surprise visit to the Old Age Home that is being run by the Delhi Government in Bindapur. During his visit, he met the senior citizens residing at the premise and enquired in detail about the food and other important facilities that are being provided to them. Seeing a couple of senior residents exercise in an open gym, he also boosted their morale.

Apart from that, Raaj Kumar Anand also checked the quality of the food that was served to the residents at the facility. The Social Welfare Minister also asked the officials of his department to work to improve the facilities that are provided over here and directed them to remove any shortcomings at the Old Age Home. Shri Raaj Kumar Anand said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, good arrangements are being made for the elderly citizens of Delhi who are residing away from their families. The Delhi Government is also building new old-age homes for the elderly citizens of Delhi and work on these facilities will be completed at the earliest.

Social Welfare Minister Raaj Kumar Anand on Saturday made a surprise inspection of the Old Age Home located in Bindapur along with the officials of the department. During this inspection, Shri Raaj Kumar Anand checked the staff list, attendance register, and food menu and gave the necessary guidelines. He interacted with the inmates and also enquired about the facilities being provided to the senior citizens here. He was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the health care facilities provided over here. Social Welfare Minister Raaj Kumar Anand was very happy when he interacted with the senior citizens living here. Shri Raaj Kumar Anand also checked the physiotherapy arrangements being given to the inmates. He boosted the morale of the inmates after watching them exercise in the open gym which is built at the facility. Apart from this, he also checked the quality of the food served to the senior citizens residing here.

Raaj Kumar Anand said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, good arrangements are being provided to the senior citizens of Delhi who are living away from their families. The Kejriwal government is providing free darshan to all the pilgrimage sites of the country under the Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana for the elderly citizens of Delhi. The Delhi Government is also building new old-age homes for the senior citizens of Delhi, and these facilities will be completed at the earliest. Delhi Government is also providing world-class service to all those elders living away from their families and is committed to their service.
