3rd Children’s Heart Day celebrated at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital

New Delhi, November 25, 2018:

Diya India Foundation in association with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi and FIVE Holdings, Dubai celebrated 3RD Children’s Heart Day on 25th November 2018 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
Under Project Udaan, Diya India Foundation in association with FIVE Holdings & Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is taking care of medical expenses of underprivileged children up to 14 years by providing financial support for the costly pre and post-surgical procedures. So far, the surgeries of more than 200 children have been supported and hope given to their families by bearing the expenses of the heart surgery.
The programme started with lighting of lamp by Chief Guest Dr. V.P.Vaidik, Chairman, Council for Indian Foreign Policy, and Guest of Honor Mr. Kabir Mulchandani ,Chairman and Group CEO, FIVE Holdings, Dubai , Padmashree Prof. Dr S.C. Manchanda, Chairman, Diya India Foundation and Dr Raja Joshi Chairman, Dept of Pediatric Cardiac Sciences, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
Ms Mashenka from FIVE Holdings added charm to the event by distributing chocolates and toys to these children and interacting with the families and sharing their problems.
Padmashree Prof. S.C. Manchanda, Chairman Diya India Foundation in his speech, welcomed the guests and read out the Achievements of Diya India Foundation. More than 50 successfully operated children attended the event with their families.
The Program started with the Parental Interaction with Pediatric Cardiac Sciences team that included scar management, psychological issues of children and their families related to such surgeries. The parents also discussed their concerns and worries with the surgeons and psychiatrist.
The afternoon was enlightened with dance performance by the students of Chetan Vidya Mandir, a school supported by Diya India Foundation followed by magic show. The vibrancy of the dances, the captivating costumes and the riveting performances held the audience spellbound. The programme received a tremendous applause from the audience.
The Guest of Honor, Mr Kabir Mulchandani lauded Diya India Foundation, Padmashree Prof Dr S.C. Manchanda Dr. Raja Joshi, Dr. Neeraj Aggarwal, Dr. Mridul Aggarwal and team for their efforts.
