Former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje puts self, son under quarantine; came in contact with singer Kanika Kapoor, who has tested positive for Covid-19.
There were reports that the singer landed in Lucknow from the United Kingdom and was admitted in a city hospital after she showed signs of flu in the last four days.
“While in Lucknow, I attended a dinner with my son Dushyant & his in-laws. Kanika, who has tested positive for Covid19 was also a guest. As a matter of abundant caution, my son & I have immediately self-quarantined and we’re taking all necessary precautions,” Vasundhara Raje tweeted. The dinner was held on 15th
Dushyant also went to Parliament after the dinner. “I was sitting next to Dushyant the other day for 2.5 hours. There are two more MPs who are in self isolation: said TMC MP Derek O’Brien in a tweet.
On 18th Dushyant also attended a function at the President house and was a part of group photograph.
These are unpardonable mistakes
- Everyone coming from international travel must declare when going to a public function’
- Everyone should declare if he or she has attended a function where a person has joined visiting from International flight.
- President, Vice President and PM should not attend public functions these days. It gives wrong message that if a country cannot protect its highest dignitaries how will it protect the general public.
- It shows there is no protocol at President house and parliament of giving an undertaking that I have not met anyone in last 14 days who have visited a covid affected country.
