CAIT Launched LOGO of its E Commerce Portal Bharat E MARKET

Spelling out its firm resolve to bring e-commerce business of India into the fold of the trading community, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) today launched the logo of its upcoming e commerce portal “BharatEMarket” with an object of clubbing physical trade with the growing e-commerce market of India. Inserting the tag line “Mere liye, Mere Desh ke liye”, in the logo, the CAIT made its intentions clear to take forward the vision for “vocal on local” and Atmnirbhar Bharat of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in e-commerce eco system of the Country. The CAIT made a strong declaration that no goods of Chinese origin will be sold on Bharatemarket. The portal will be launched in the month of December,2020.
The name itself is the symbol of true Indian sentiments whereas the background jhola or the bag shows India’s traditional way of shopping and its pure Khadi spirit to link the portal with common man of the Country. The font and fast color scheme used in the logo constitute modern India and will attract the youth consumers of the Country towards the portal. The logo has been prepared by one of the top Branding & Communication of the Country R.K.Swamy BBDO who are the branding & communication partner of Bharatemarket.
Internationally acclaimed Vastu expert Dr. Khushdeep Bansal along with Mr. Pradeep Singhal, Chairman, All India Transport Welfare Association, Mr. Dhairysheel Patil, President, All India FMCG Distributors Association, Mr. Pankaj Mohindroo, Chief of India Cellular & Electronics Association, Mr. Arvinder Khurana, President, All India Mobile Retailers Association & Mr. Naresh Sirohi, President,  Bhartiya Kisan Sanghthan jointly launched the Logo. Senior officials of MasterCard, Amway, Tally, HDFC Bank, Shriram Group, & payment Gateway Company Razor Pay also attended the launching ceremony. Prominent trade leaders of all States also joined the launch in large numbers through the Video Conference.
Taking a part in launch event Mr Som Prakash, Minister of State for Commerce complimented CAIT for its decision to launch an e-commerce Portal Bharatemarket carrying vision of PM Modi for vocal for local & Atmnirbhar Bharat. He said that such initiatives are very much necessary to empower small businesses with technology since they are the backbone of Indian economy. He assured that Government will not spare any efforts in maintaing an even level playing field in e-commerce business and he stressed that violation of Government policy will not be tolerated any more and the Government is committed to provide equal opportunities for all to make optimum use of e-commerce ecosystem in larger interest of the Country and its people. He lauded CAIT for carrying various steps from time to time in adoption & access of digital payments and digital commerce among traders of the Country.
CAIT National President Mr B C Bhartia and Secretary General Mr Praveen Khandelwal said that lockdown period in the Country realized the traders and consumers about the positive usage of e-commerce which is also reflected from the fact that prior to lockdown the share of e-commerce in retail trade was about 7% which has increased to about 24% post lockdown. The e-commerce market in India is expected to reach to 200 billion dollar by 2026 which is 45 billion dollar at present. Increase in usage of smartphones and widening of internet connectivity coupled with linkage of Panchayat with internet by the Government will boost further usage of e-commerce business in India. The 5G technology expected to be rolled out soon will further escalate e-commerce market. However, the physical trade will continue to play its important role in economy.
Mr. Bhartia & Mr. Khandelwal also said that technology has given boost to digital payment, hyper local logistics, analytical customer engagement and digital advertisement and has further given boost to new innovative ideas in the field of e-commerce. Looking at the future of e-commerce and for ensuring greater participation of traders, the CAIT has launched its portal Bharatemarket.
Shri Bhartia & Shri Khandelwal called upon the Central Government to bring e-commerce policy soon with a fundamental to have a strong Regulatory Authority to control and check the ongoing monopoly of the foreign e-commerce Companies who have badly distorted the domestic e-commerce business in India. The CAIT has also urged the Government to bring a new Press Note in place of Press Note No.2 in the FDI policy in order to remove anomalies and disparities of Press Note No.2.
