Apollo Hospitals has always been at the forefront of ensuring the delivery of care to patients in need. In India, the incidence and prevalence of stroke are increasing. In a population of more than 1 billion, 250-300 people are suffering from stroke and the incidence of stroke in the developed world has risen to 25-30%. Covid is also one of the risk factors for stroke in our country. Stroke is preventable and treatable only if modifiable diseases are not taken for granted. A slight rise in blood pressure should be treated. Fortunately, 75% of stroke patients can get back to a normal quality of life means they can go back to work”
