Narayana Health donates ventilators, supports Gurugram Health Department to combat COVID 19

NH extends helping hand to the Gurugram  Health Department, donates 5 ventilators worth around Rs.25 lakh

Healthcare Workers including Doctors, Nurses and Paramedical Teams are working round the clock. Taking forward the vision to make High Quality Clinical Care Affordable, laid by its Chairman Dr Devi Shetty, Narayana Health in association with Radha Mohan Mehrotra Medical Relief Trust, HDFC Ergo General Insurance Pvt ltd, Nestle India, Union Bank of India, Geltec Private Limited donated 5 ventilators worth around Rs. 5 lakh rupees per ventilator to the Health Department of Gurugram. With the objective of giving assistance to the Haryana Government in its endeavor and showing its gratitude towards the commendable efforts this step was taken. On 10th June, 2020 Commander Navneet Bali (Regional Director – Northern Region, Narayana Health) and many other consultants from Narayana Hospital Gurugram personally met Shri Amit Khatri, District Magistrate Gurugram to hand over the Ventilators.

Commander Navneet Bali, Regional Director, Northern India, Narayana Health said that, “It is evident that serious cases of Covid 19 need ventilators and there is a significant increase in the demand of ventilators considering the current scenario. We consider this to be our moral responsibility to assist our government health infrastructure by donating these ventilators.”

He also said, “We are in solidarity to the Health Department’s efforts to combat the situation. Our Public Health Facilities are striving hard to ensure the well being of COVID affected patients. I hope that with consistent efforts, we all surely will be out of this pandemic soon.”

Although COVID is asymptomatic in many cases but the need of ventilator is a major concern for serious patients fighting even to breathe properly. Our healthcare workers are working day and night to fight this pandemic. Keep following the rule of social distancing and other needed precautions to break the chain of virus’ further spread for your well being. Also help our healthcare workers by saving yourselves from the infection. We all should extend our support as per our capacity to help in fighting this pandemic.
