‘PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry through its Member organisations, State Chapters and Secretariat, has made a significant contribution of Rs 528 crores to the PM Cares Fund to help the people affected by the COVID-19 crisis’ along with distributing food, ration, medical equipment, etc. to hospitals, needy, and other supporting staff.  This was stated by Karan Gilhotra, Chairman, Punjab State Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He informed that a contribution cheque was formally handed over to Mr. Ram Madhav, General Secretary, Bhartiya Janta Party by PHD Chamber. He added that responding to the appeal of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, members of PHD Chamber from across the country had contributed to help the country during this crisis. He said that  he was happy to announce that Punjab based members of the Chamber had a significant share in this contribution.

Karan Gilhotra announced that the Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI would continuously support the State Government and the Government of India and its citizens  in the coming times, by putting the best foot forward in making India a COVID-free Nation, reviving economic growth and becoming a global leader in the post COVID era. He also informed that PHD Chamber has been continuously interacting with the State and Central Governments to work out an action plan for revival of trade and industry post COVID-19 lockdown.

Karan Gilhotra applauded the efforts of frontline warriors like Doctors, Para-Medical staff, Police Personnel, Citizens of India, Safai Karamcharis and other voluntary organizations for working unwaveringly to contain the spread of the pandemic and  make India a COVID-free Nation.
