September 30, 2021
New Delhi, September 30, 2021:

After having made a mark in Covid testing and vaccination, SpiceHealth, one of the country’s youngest and fastest growing healthcare startup, has decided to foray into pathology laboratory services launching its first state-of-the-art pathology lab at Sama Hospital, Siri Fort Road, New Delhi.

The pathology lab will offer a wide range of affordable testing like haematology, clinical pathology, biochemistry, Complete Blood Count (CBC), Liver Function Test, Kidney Function Test, Lipid Profile, Blood Sugar, Urine Routine etc. The lab will offer sample collections through walk-in, home collection and corporate collection.

SpiceHealth, a healthcare company founded by the promoters of SpiceJet, was launched in November 2020 with the vision of introducing innovative healthcare solutions aimed at serving the masses. The Company, which was the first to introduce the innovative concept of mobile testing laboratories that could be placed in remote areas, in containment zones, in villages where access to hospitals and medical facilities was and remains a challenge, has conducted more than 4.2 million RT-PCR tests in the short span since its launch.

Avani Singh, CEO, SpiceHealth said, “I am delighted to share that SpiceHealth has ventured into pathology testing services and our first state-of-the-art laboratory is now operational at Sama Hospital in Delhi. We are dedicated to our mission of offering affordable, accessible and innovative healthcare services for the masses. We have ambitious plans of expanding further and hope to make a perceptible difference in people’s lives.”

SpiceHealth’s path lab is equipped with advanced facilities and will have a team of highly qualified professionals including dedicated pathology staff, experienced technicians and dependable home collection team. With a quick turnaround time and competitive pricing, SpiceHealth aims to disrupt the path lab space in India by making services easily accessible and affordable for general public. The Company will leverage its robust IT infrastructure built in-house, to ensure quality, reliability and scalability of offering essential healthcare services.

SpiceHealth currently operates 29 labs and collection centers for RT-PCR and rapid antigen testing spread across ten cities in India. The Company also operates multiple vaccination centers in five States. SpiceHealth’s RT-PCR testing labs, accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories and Indian Council of Medical Research, have been successfully conducting the country’s fastest RT-PCR tests at just INR 450/-. Each lab has the ability to conduct 3,000 tests per day. The Company operates vaccination centers at Delhi’s Aashlok Hospital and Paras Hospitals in Haryana, Rajasthan, Bihar and Jharkhand.

SpiceHealth’s first mobile RT-PCR testing facility in Delhi was inaugurated by Sh. Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Home Minister and the then Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan. In January 2021, SpiceHealth had launched a first-of-its-kind genome sequencing laboratory at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport to help in identifying and containing the new mutant variants of Covid-19 virus unwittingly carried by passengers travelling from other countries.

SpiceHealth had set-up mobile laboratories and testing facilities across Haridwar and at five locations along the border of Uttarakhand for pilgrims visiting the Kumbh Mela as part of a MoU with the state government.

Earlier, SpiceHealth had launched SpiceOxy – a compact, portable, non-invasive ventilation device, which is an effective solution for patients with mild to moderate breathing issues and had also introduced fingertip pulse oximeter, a handy device making it easier for people to measure the oxygen level of the blood.
