  • Put a small drop of honey between your fingers and rub them, if it is sticky, it is impure because of the presence of high percentage of added sweeteners.
  •  Taste your honey. If tastes go away very soon (in a matter of minutes) it’s pure honey. Impure honey sweet taste remains because of added sugars and sweeteners.
  • Place a spoon of honey in a glass of water, if it dissolves it is impure. Pre honey doesn’t dissolve in water immediately and lumps at the bottom.
  • Place a drop of honey on the end of the matchstick and light is, if it ignites it is pure. Incase of impure honey matchstick will not light because of presence of moisture.
