Webinar on Illness to Wellness: Friday, 15th Jan 2021, 11.00 AM To 12.30 PM
New Delhi, January 11, 2021 :
Illness to Wellness is an innovative way and comprehensive approach to cascade awareness about wellness campaign, to address preventive healthcare management and to promote health, hygiene, and well-being of people.
This world is only as we see it, hear it, feel it, smell it, and taste it as all these are feelings and sensations perceived by our brain, an organ approx 1.3 kg on average and attached to it are over 7 trillion nerves which bring to us the feeling of this world. We owe a big thanks to this combination of Brain and Nerves that we perceive, move, work, think, create and enjoy our lives and worldly pleasures as we do.
But these are all made of cells and have a very complex physical existence, if something goes wrong in this system then all the functions associated with them are disturbed, lost or deranged.
The brain & nervous system diseases can come in as many ways as we can only perceive life, from simple perception of pain, burning, tingling to loss of sensation, loss of functions of vital organs, inability to speak, eat, swallow, move hands or legs, muscle weakness or atrophy, etc, and is often degenerative. Neuropathy is a debilitating disease impacting lives of many. These diseases may damage or dysfunction one or more nerves especially of the peripheral nervous system.
The recent research pointed out that the COIVD-19 virus even without invading the brain or nerves directly causes potential damage to neurological problems in about one in seven infected cases. These injuries range from temporary loss of memory due to low body oxygen levels, to stroke and seizures in the most serious cases.
With an objective to cascade mass awareness and disseminate knowledge and wisdom about preventive and curative measures for the brain and neuro patients to facilitate them to lead a longer and healthier life during current scenario, ASSOCHAM is organizing a webinar on “Illness to Wellness : Wellness of Brain & Nervous System” scheduled on Friday, 15th Jan 2021 from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm.
