Sometimes I wonder does really thinking positive change the scenario in managing infertility
and when I see some of my patients, the answer is a definite YES. Sharing some miraculous stories which motivate me to TRY for others also and not give up
A couple came to me for pregnancy . On Semen analysis, we found no sperm, and to add to the problem, his wife who was just 26 years had a poor ovarian reserve ( meaning the number of eggs was less). They were financially not very good
I suggested donor IUI or IVF with donor eggs so that they could conceive early and spend their money judiciously. But they were adamant and asked me to try once. We did a testicular biopsy and extracted sperms.
Then we started Ovarian stimulation for the lady. We found only 2 eggs growing. On retrieval, we got only 1 egg. ICSI was done. And to our surprise, we found it growing to day 5 (blastocyst) we transferred it and got a pregnancy, but it didn’t grow.They wanted me to try once more.
Explaining everything, we went ahead with stimulation. We got 5 eggs -out of which 3 were mature and what a miracle , we got 3 blastocyst.
We transferred 3 and got triplet pregnancy. Wow, what an amazing feeling. The couple never gave up and motivated me to keep trying and we won!!!!
