Global Healthcare Academy India’s first Med Tech company launched Global Dental Academy

The Global Dental Academy (GDA) is part of the Global Healthcare Academy (GHA) India’s first Med Ed Tech Company founded by Dr. B S Ajaikumar, Executive Chairman of HCG Hospitals. Global Healthcare Academy offers Continuing Medical Education (CME) to doctors and other Healthcare Professionals. It has launched more than 10 CME courses in a span of the last one year despite the challenges posed by the Covid19 Pandemic.

The Healthcare sector is rapidly changing and new technologies, treatment protocols and pharmaceuticals are developing rapidly. In this scenario it is imperative for Doctors and Healthcare Professionals to keep themselves abreast with the latest knowledge and skills in their field. GHA is playing a crucial role in enabling healthcare professionals in India and other developing countries to develop their knowledge and skills at an affordable cost. GHA’s courses are designed by experts in the field and the CME courses are delivered online.

In a major leap GHA along with Dr. Girish Rao and Dr. Anand Krishna (maxillofacial surgeons of repute from the city of Bengaluru) have launched the Global Dental Academy today. Both the Dental surgeons have been practicing in Bangalore for the past 25 and more years.

The important speakers who delivered the keynote address were Dr. Austen Smith, President of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, U K. and Dr. Jayakar Shetty, Vice Chancellor of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.  Dr. Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, India and Dr. K S Nagesh Former Principal RV Dental College and Director Public Health, RGHUHS were the Guests of Honor.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B S Ajaikumar, Chairman GHA said that launching of the Global Dental Academy is a major achievement for GHA and its commitment to offer state of the art CME training courses to the healthcare professionals in India and abroad. The GDA has a competent team of professionals, and we will be delivering world class courses through this Academy.

The future Oral Implantology has developed and progressed into a central core of the art and science of Dentistry. This field, over the course of its existence, has transformed from a modality on the fringes of the profession to being embraced by virtually every component and aspect of our discipline. Oral Implantology is a discipline filled with complexity. The field demands its practitioners to have a high level of expertise in a vast array of areas, many of which evolve at a fast rate. This requires a strong sturdy foundation in Diagnosis, Planning, Basic Surgical and Prosthetic aspects along with patient management. These courses aim to introduce its participants to a fascinating subspeciality whilst understanding its core concepts.

of an emergency. A Dental Surgeon treats patients of all age groups and some of them find dental treatments stressful. Emergencies can happen in any situation. It is most essential for the dental office team to be well equipped and prepared to handle such situations to save the life of a patient till a definitive medical treatment is available.

The course on Dental Emergencies discusses preventive strategies and preparedness, and finally learn how to manage an emergency step by step to save a life. On completion of the course, the participant will be confident and competent to act at the right moment and manage an emergency effectively.
