Creates new benchmark by taking cutting edge healthcare technology to a tier III city

October 11, 2018: Nayati Healthcare today announced the introduction of India’s first Digital Intensive Care units (eICU) at its flagship hospital, Nayati Medicity at Mathura. The introduction of the state of the art technology, reiterates Nayati’s commitment of bringing the world’s most advanced healthcare services and technology to the people in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With this, Nayati Medicity has become India’s first hospital to adopt a secured cloud based model which uses minimal infrastructure cost, making it affordable.

The technology, introduced in collaboration with Cohere Med, a health-tech company based in Bangalore, will allow clinicians to monitor multiple critically ill patients remotely, alert ICU staff to any issues, and ensure early intervention to improve outcomes. The newly installed system uses Critibot (a registered trade mark of Cohere Med) a bot built to serve customized information for every doctor. The goal is to optimize clinical expertise and facilitate 24-hour-a-day care by ICU caregivers.

Speaking on the occasion, Niira Radia, Chairperson & Promoter, Nayati Healthcare said “We believe technology is an enabler in healthcare. Access to critical care in tier 2 and 3 towns has been minimal. Nayati has been one such institution that took super specialization using best of technology coupled with finest clinicians to where the need was greater. EICU technology only further reaffirms our commitment to working at grass root.”

We are operating in a time when connected health solutions can truly make a difference in patient’s experience. The roll out of the eICU program is a major step in making integrated healthcare solutions a reality beyond the metros. The system will soon be deployed in all our hospitals enabling seamless patient care across the group.”

“Intensive care is one of the areas where data is generated at a rapid pace. Given the amount of time nurses and doctors have, it is important to crunch the data and present it a manner so that specific actions can be taken before it’s late. Access to healthcare is compromised in different ways. We are now closer than ever to patients and more importantly get to focus on the most, not just during the golden hour, but who are on path to recovery in ICU”, says, Dr. RK Mani, CEO (Medical), Nayati Healthcare.

“Our technology platform (CoMeT – Coherence of Medical Things™) was built with the vision to help improve mortality rates caused due to lack of information or, information not reaching the clinicians on time. CoMeT is built on IoT (Internet of Things) and Artificial Intelligence Engine leverages machine data automation by applying machine learning principles to achieve actionable insights”, says Srikanth Muthya, Co-Founder CEO, Cohere Med.

“Data science is reshaping and transforming the way we deliver care to our patients today. We are excited to see incorporation of this important field at Nayati health system”, says Dr. Manesh Patel (Chief, Division of Cardiology, Co-Director, Duke Heart Center, Duke University, Durham, U.S.A) and Suresh Balu (Program Director, Duke Institute for Health Innovation, U.S.A), who were also present at the occasion.
