New Delhi, October 14, 2020 :

A doctor hurriedly entered the hospital as he was called in for an urgent surgery. He immediately changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block. The patient was a young boy, whose father was pacing in the hall, impatiently waiting for the doctor.

On seeing him, the boy’s father yelled and asked the doctor why he was so late, and whether he had any sense of responsibility or not.

The doctor smiled and apologized and explained that he wasn’t in the hospital. He came as fast as he could once he received the call. He requested the father to calm down and let him do his work.

The boy’s father got furious and asked the doctorwhat he would do if his son was in the surgery room.“What if his own son dies?” asked the father angrily.

The doctor smiled again and said doctors cannot prolong lives. He asked the father to intercede for his son, and said that he will do his best by God’s grace. The father murmured that it is easy to advice when one is not concerned.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor came out happy, and told the father that his son was alright. Without waiting for the father’s reply he carried on his way running, saying that if he had any questions, he could ask the nurse.

The father felt that the doctor was very arrogant.Couldn’t he wait for a few minutes so that he could ask about his son’s condition, he said to the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, with tears in her eyes that the doctor’s son died the day before in a road accident, and he was at the burial when they called him for the boy’s surgery. Now, after saving son’s life, he left to finish his son’s burial.

Moral: Never judge anyone because we may never know how their life is and what they’re going through
