While the coronavirus pandemic is a cause for consternation and concern for the entire world, a patient with cardiac disease has to be even more careful as they suffer the highest mortality rate of all COVID patients.

Approx. 40% of COVID-19 patients have cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease.

Guest Speaker : Dr. Naresh Kumar Trehan is a world renowned cardiologist, cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeonHe serves as the Chairman & Managing Director and Chief Cardiac Surgeon, MedantaTM-The MediCity. Having performed over 50000 open heart surgeries, he has created a niche in this field. The super surgeon has a global repute and over 5 decades of rich professional experience.

He founded the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre where he was the Executive Director. Escorts was conceptualized, created and managed by Dr. Trehan from November 1987 to May 2007.

He has received many prestigious awards, including the Padma Shree and the Padma Bhushan Award, presented by the Government of India.
